Inspiring Story

This is a very inspiring story for me. In fact, I was strucked with it because I am acting it sometimes especially if I lost my patient and control. Forgive me God for all my flaws, shortcomings and mistakes. Please continue reading the story. I got this story from a subscribed email from Kyregma. Feel free to visit their site in

Therefore David blessed the Lord in the presence of all the assembly. – 1 Chronicles 29:10

I don’t know what came over me. I’ve never lost my temper like that. Worse, it happened in public. It was early and the mall was still closed. I waved to a security guard through the locked door but I felt he intentionally didn’t mind me. I felt offended. On impulse, I banged on the door and shouted at him. He pointed to the opposite entrance. There, I gave him a piece of my mind. Loudly. I came down on him hard. At first, he defended himself. Then he started apologizing. But I didn’t stop. After a few seconds, my companion held my hand to calm me down. He said, “Bro, he apologized already.” When I finally cooled down, I turned around and saw a large crowd of silent people… with their jaws half dropped.

Although I felt I was in the right, I admit I let my anger and pride take over me. That was wrong. Later, I went back to apologize to the guard but his shift had ended. I lost the opportunity to say sorry. I pray for the grace to always glorify God through my words, thoughts, and most importantly, my actions — because that’s mostly what people will remember.George Gabriel

Is God glorified through how I conduct myself in public?

Help me, Lord, to walk the talk.

In The Sand: An Inspirational Story

This was forwarded in my email around two weeks ago. I already save this as draft here for some days now because I also want to share a personal story regarding this. It seems that I am quite busy. For now I just want post this and share it to you. For my related story, I will try to share it next time! have a great day to all!

In The Sand

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert.
During some point of the journey, they had an argument and one
friend slapped the other one in the face.

The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything,
he wrote in the sand:

They kept on walking, until they found an oasis where they
decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck
in the mire and started drowning, but his friend saved him.

After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:

The friend, who had slapped and saved his best friend, asked
him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write
on a stone, why?"

The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us, we should
write it down in sand where the winds of forgiveness can erase
it away, but when someone does something good for us, we must
engrave it in stone, where no wind can ever erase it."

Life is Too Rich to spend today in front of the computer

I got a message in my tag-board in one of my sites today saying "Rubz, check the u might find something in there..."..I thought it is a site that has a lot of things to read on, or photos to be seen or items for sale..things like that!!

I was also touched by what the authors say in below please;

"Life is too rich to spend today in front of the computer, so we're taking a rest. Come join us in the park on a walk, in the hospital visiting our friends, snuggling on the couch reading a story."

Isn't this true guys that we already spent most of our time in front of the computer and we don't have the chance to already see the world around us? or maybe we don't have the chance to already converse with our friends, or maybe just breath fresh air outside, or maybe see the beauty of the blue sky, or witness a child play in the park, or simply spend walking with our husband or family? ..

Oh yes, I was touched because I did the same. I had to admit that I spend most of my time everyday in front of my pc. I am sorry for myself about that. I realized it is not good for me. But sometimes it is better than doing other things as gossiping or whatever acts that are not pleasant to other people. I know I found my new world in internet wherein I can share and express my ideas, thoughts, opinions and my personal experiences and so many things about this world.

Anyway, the past days and months of 2009, I really did not spend the whole day anymore compared to last year. I just realized that I also have a real life to attend to or simply do household chores, or see friends, talk to my family back home or maybe simply go out. That is the reason why I did not did blog hopping anymore for the past months unless I see the footprints of any blogger friends in my tagboard or if they left some comments and then I reciprocated by visiting them back..I felt sorry about it guys!

But today, I had the chance to go walking with my husband we did really had fun!! It was a very wonderful afternoon seeing the nature again outside! I hope that the weather will get better in the coming of the spring time so that I can frequently go out again..or maybe see places..

Lastly, I want to thank everyone who always visit me here and leaving their footprints. I apologize if I can't reciprocate your visit immediately. I truly appreciate everything especially to all blogger friends who had helped me a lot in this blogging world. Thanks a million!!

We should always remember, computer is not everything. There are still more realities in this world aside from internet or computer! Go out and see the world around us!! Cheers!!

The Richest Man In The Valley

I just thought of sharing this story from one of my friends in friendster..I believed there are lessons we get from here..I do agree also that "Being rich has nothing to do with money or possessions"...Read more to get some insights!! hope you had a great day today!!

The Richest Man In The Valley

A rich landowner named Carl often rode around his vast estate so he could congratulate himself on his great wealth.
One day while riding around his estate on his favorite horse, he saw Hans, an old tenant farmer. Hans was sitting under a tree when Carl rode by.
Hans said, 'I was just thanking God for my food.'
Carl protested, 'If that is all I had to eat, I wouldn't feel like giving thanks.'
Hans replied, 'God has given me everything I need, and I am thankful for it.'
The old farmer added, 'It is strange you should come by today because I had a dream last night. In my dream a voice told me, 'The richest man in the valley will die tonight.' I don't know what it means, but I thought I ought to tell you.'
Carl snorted, 'Dreams are nonsense,' and galloped away, but he could not forget Hans' words: 'The richest man in the valley will die tonight.'
He was obviously the richest man in the valley, so he invited his doctor to his house that evening.
Carl told the doctor what Hans had said. After a thorough examination, the doctor told the wealthy landowner, 'Carl, you are as strong and healthy as a horse. There is no way you are going to die tonight.'
Nevertheless, for assurance, the doctor stayed with Carl, and they played cards through the night.
The doctor left the next morning and Carl apologized for becoming so upset over the old man's dream.
At about nine o'clock, a messenger arrived at Carl's door.
'What is it?' Carl demanded.
The messenger explained, 'It's about old Hans. He died last night in his sleep.'
Being rich has nothing to do with money or possessions. But it has everything to do with having a relationship with God.

Good friends and Bad Friends

I have some good friends out there..Not only good friends but very very good ones!! and I have lots of them back in the Philippines and even around the world. Most of them are my classmates back in high school and college. I also met some online friends who have been very good!! There are some friends who might not be true to us. I already met one and its my first time to meet such kind of person. After knowing that she betrayed me, I immediately told her to end our friendship. I believed I made the right decision based on this saying;

Anger is only one letter short of danger.
If someone betrays you once, it is his fault;
If he betrays you twice, it is your fault.
Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.
He, who loses money, loses much;
He, who loses a friend, loses much more;

I also believed that it is not my lose anyway, it is her lose!! I am very happy and satisfied with my decision right now!! But I just wish that she can still find a true friend who will accept her for what she is!! What is the most important is that I learn some lessons from this bad experience!! Peace!!

I got this message from a friend and classmate in my friendster mail..Thanks a lot Joy..I miss you too!! I really miss your company especially if I reminisce all our beautiful experiences back in school days!! better late than never greetings!! mwuahhhh!!! see yah next year hopefully!!

Story of my Nephew

I believed, this story from my nephew is quite touching. My sister whom I chatted last time from Cebu told me about this. My nephew named Raven John stayed for some weeks in the province in Cebu where my parents live. One time he heard my Mother and Father having some arguments..The small child who is around 4 years old, heard the word "Deputa" which is a bad one, some sort of "S" or whatever bad one.....My nephew approached my Grandfather and told him....."Lolo (Grandpa) , I heard you talking bad word, Isn't deputa a bad word Lolo...Don't say it again!! Mama said it's not good to say bad words!!

Sometimes we just learn when a small kid talk..I guess it is always the parents who need to discipline their children especially in a very young age. In this time of childhood, children need to be taught already with what is good and proper. I am just thankful that my sister, the Mother of Raven John who is also a teacher did her best to give her children the proper discipline and attitude in their early age!!!
Sis Jing...keep up the great job as a Mother!!!...I know you can do it!!Just keep praying for the best!! ! I miss you all there in the Philippines...can't wait to see you all next year!! I love you all!!God bless us all!!

The Six-Letter Word

A story forwarded in my email..I also want to share it with you friends..
hope you got some lessons and insights!!

The Six-Letter Word

I was taught a lesson that just six simple letters could make a

Those six letters made the word - SILENT.

Those letters when rearranged also spell the word - LISTEN.

I never truly understood that until the day I stood silent and
learned there was more to life than everyday living.

When you don't take the time to listen and be silent then
everything is easily taken for granted.

The things I wasn't silent for and listened for, I now miss the

A simple I love you from my children.

The request of a loved one that I was too busy for at the time.

Little did I know, that if I stayed quiet and savored things,
I could have imprinted their voices in my mind and made memories
that would have lasted.

The one thing I always will be thankful for is that I learned my
lesson and heeded the call. But also that God truly is silent
and listened for my every need, but in return if I'm silent,
I can also hear from Him.
