"When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day is not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and two cups of coffee.
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and fills it with golf balls.
He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

PROMPTED BY JEALOUSY
Jealousy is a lousy motivator at the best of times. In a rather contrived sense it can sometimes be said to be a good motivator if it seeks to inspire a person to draw the best out of themselves in the pursuit of a particular goal, as long as his or her actions do not negatively impinge on others. However, rarely will jealousy lead to a good result. It is better to avoid jealousy at all costs and seek far purer emotions for motivation in our lives.
St. Francis of Assisi speaks of how envy and jealousy are sins against the Holy Spirit. For him, they are the unforgiveable sin of Mark 3:27-28. Why does he believe this? I think it is because he sees envy and jealousy as the refusal to rejoice in the way the Holy Spirit has given gifts to those around him. Who are we to question the Lord’s wisdom when He decided to give one gift to one person and another or even more gifts to another person? The only response we should have in recognizing the gifts of others is rejoicing that God has been so generous to gift His Church, the community of the People of God, with such gifts.
In other words, our focus ought to be identifying our own gifts and placing them at the service of the Church and praying that others will do the same. It is impossible to see how worrying about or being envious or jealous of the gifts of others is going to help the Church in its duty to proclaim the Gospel to all men and women. The only worthwhile response is to thank God for the gifts He gives to us all and to pray that we have the grace to use them faithfully in the service of the Gospel.
Jealousy will only lead to division and hurt; rejoicing in the gifts of others will lead to sharing and growth of the community. Let us pray that we will be faithful to all that God has entrusted us and so be active, joyful and contributing members of the communities of faith to which we belong. Fr. Steve Tynan, MGL
Do I use my gifts for the benefit of the work of the Gospel or am I selfish with them?
Jesus, help me to be faithful to Your call and to always respond with generosity to use the gifts You have given me for the benefit of others.
St. Lambert of Lyon, pray for us.
They will look upon him whom they have pierced. – John 19:37
She was a battered wife. Her husband beats her up every day giving her bruises all over. More than the physical pain, it was the way her husband makes her feel worthless that hurts her the most.
Years later, the husband fell seriously ill and the wife, as loving as she had always been, cared for him as if he never caused her pain. Jesus had been pierced and wounded many times over, not only at the Crucifixion but every time we give in to our fallen nature and yield to sin. But in His mercy, Jesus offers us forgiveness as well as strength to overcome life’s challenges. He doesn’t keep a record of our wrongs. Rather, He gives us the gift of salvation. We may have hurt Him many times but He will never forsake or leave us. In Him we find true joy and consolation. Jane Gonzales
There is no sin too difficult to resist in the face of God’s abounding love and mercy.
Dear God, forgive me for those times when I hurt You. Keep me ever in Your care and cover me with Your divine love and affection. Amen.
The prophecies of Hosea introduce us to a new way of understanding God, namely as a God of Love. Up until this point in their history the Jewish people have an image of God as Creator and all-powerful, a God of the Law but have not really come to an understanding of Him as a God of Love. Hosea and the tradition to which he belongs will change all that as he introduces to us the idea of God being the lover of His people. Perhaps the Song of Songs expresses this tradition most strongly.
Hosea 11:1. 3-4. 8c-9
1 Thus says the Lord: When Israel was a child I loved him, out of Egypt I called my son. 3 Yet it was I who taught Ephraim to walk, who took them in my arms; 4 I drew them with human cords, with bands of love; I fostered them like one who raises an infant to his cheeks; Yet, though I stooped to feed my child, they did not know that I was their healer. 8 My heart is overwhelmed, my pity is stirred. 9 I will not give vent to my blazing anger, I will not destroy Ephraim again; For I am God and not man, the Holy One present among you; I will not let the flames consume you.

Isaiah 12:2-3. 4. 5-6 (3)
R: You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation.
2 God indeed is my savior; I am confident and unafraid. My strength and my courage is the LORD, and he has been my savior. 3 With joy you will draw water at the fountain of salvation. (R) 4 Give thanks to the LORD, acclaim his name; among the nations make known his deeds, proclaim how exalted is his name. (R) 5 Sing praise to the LORD for his glorious achievement; let this be known throughout all the earth. 6 Shout with exultation, O city of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel! (R)
Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians is quite mystical in its language and thus we have to open our minds and hearts to our imagination in order to draw forth its insights. As we reflect upon the Feast of the Sacred Heart, it reminds us of the utter fullness of God — there is no good thing lacking in God. In a certain sense, we have that truth revealed to us in the sacrifice of love Jesus makes on the cross — a sacrifice that invites us to come and share in the fullness of all God is — to become one with Him in love.
Ephesians 3:8-12. 14-19
8 Brothers and sisters: To me, the very least of all the holy ones, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the inscrutable riches of Christ, 9 and to bring to light [for all] what is the plan of the mystery hidden from ages past in God who created all things, 10 so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the principalities and authorities in the heavens. 11 This was according to the eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness of speech and confidence of access through faith in him. 14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self, 17 and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

What is the symbolism of the blood and water that flow from Jesus’ side after it is pierced by a lance? For me the greatest symbol is that it indicates that Jesus has given all in love for us. St. Bernard of Clairvaux tells us that a single drop of Jesus’ blood would have sufficed to save us, yet He gives far more than that. This points to the excessive nature of God’s love for us. It is as though He could not find enough
ways to demonstrate His love for us!
31 Since it was preparation day, in order that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath, for the sabbath day of that week was a solemn one, the Jews asked Pilate that their legs be broken and they be taken down. 32 So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and then of the other one who was crucified with Jesus. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs, 34 but one soldier thrust his lance into his side, and immediately blood and water flowed out. 35 An eyewitness has testified, and his testimony is true; he knows that he is speaking the truth, so that you also may [come to] believe. 36 For this happened so that the scripture passage might be fulfilled: “Not a bone of it will be broken.” 37 And again another passage says: “They will look upon him whom they have pierced.”
think:The sacrifice of love Jesus makes on the cross invites us to come and share in the fullness of all God is — to become one with Him in love.
ReceivinG GoD’s love
We grow up today with the sense that if we have not earned something, we do not really deserve it. Even if we are happy to use something that we know we do not deserve, there is a gnawing feeling that will not let us forget that we have no right to demand such use or pleasure. This is a problem of modern humanity when it comes to learning about the unconditional nature of God’s love for us.
The truth is that none of us deserves to be loved by God. In fact, none of us could ever hope to earn God’s love no matter what we achieve, simply because any one of our sins, let alone the accumulation of them, harms our relationship with God to the degree that it is impossible for us to repair the damage. We have harmed a relationship that is based on the infinite love of God and we are only comfortable of finite actions or reparation. Hence the beginning of our dilemma — we do not deserve to be loved by God, let alone redeemed by Him. Yet this is exactly how God chooses to relate to us.
For us to receive the fullness of God’s love, we have to overcome that sense that tells us that we do not deserve His love or forgiveness. Even though this is true, the choice of God enables us to move beyond our incapacity and to enter into His ability and capacity to overcome our finiteness with His infinite love and forgiveness. Today we celebrate the infinite depth of God’s love for us and we rejoice in the truth that His love has redeemed us and will continue to do so until the end of the world. The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a Feast of Love — God’s great love for us, made manifest through the life of His Son, Jesus. Fr. Steve Tynan, MGL
Have I truly opened my heart to the free gift of God’s love in Jesus? Or do I continue to try to earn that love so that I can claim some credit for my own salvation?
Holy Spirit, grant me the grace of true humility so that I will readily acknowledge my own incapacity to love without first receiving the free gift of God’s love for me.
St. Romuald, Abbot, pray for us.
What would you do with an extra hour each day?
**I always have a lot of things to do in the house. In fact I never get boring if I just stay in our house...Now that spring time is almost coming, I will surely spend it everyday in my garden...I also spend sometime reading the Book of all books if possible everyday...or simply relax or listen to a cool music..or simply look at our photo album..or enjoy the birds twitting outside.
Do you wear a watch? If so, tell us about it. If not, how do you keep track of time?
If I just stay at home, I don't wear one..besides I own my time and I don't waste a single minute of it...there are also clocks around and I really don't mind of the time especially if I just stay at home....got a lot of things to do in the house anyway..I can manage my time and I know my priorities.
If it was possible, would you want to know how many days you had left to live?
For now, I am enjoying every single minute of my life..Nobody can tell when is the right time for us to leave in this world, but if it is possible to know how many days are left for me to live, well why not to make me prepare for it and will try my best to be a better person when the time comes.....besides only God knows...I am just thankful for now that I am given the privilege to see the beauty of the world around us despite of life's uncertainties and difficulties...I am still lucky to be in this world...I am thankful for all the blessings that I receive in my life....
I was also touched by what the authors say in there..read below please;
Oh yes, I was touched because I did the same. I had to admit that I spend most of my time everyday in front of my pc. I am sorry for myself about that. I realized it is not good for me. But sometimes it is better than doing other things as gossiping or whatever acts that are not pleasant to other people. I know I found my new world in internet wherein I can share and express my ideas, thoughts, opinions and my personal experiences and so many things about this world.
Anyway, the past days and months of 2009, I really did not spend the whole day anymore compared to last year. I just realized that I also have a real life to attend to or simply do household chores, or see friends, talk to my family back home or maybe simply go out. That is the reason why I did not did blog hopping anymore for the past months unless I see the footprints of any blogger friends in my tagboard or if they left some comments and then I reciprocated by visiting them back..I felt sorry about it guys!
But today, I had the chance to go walking with my husband we did really had fun!! It was a very wonderful afternoon seeing the nature again outside! I hope that the weather will get better in the coming of the spring time so that I can frequently go out again..or maybe see places..
Lastly, I want to thank everyone who always visit me here and leaving their footprints. I apologize if I can't reciprocate your visit immediately. I truly appreciate everything especially to all blogger friends who had helped me a lot in this blogging world. Thanks a million!!
We should always remember, computer is not everything. There are still more realities in this world aside from internet or computer! Go out and see the world around us!! Cheers!!
Me and my family would like to extend our deepest and sincere sympathy to all people who lost their love ones. Special condolence to my dear cousin Ann and her family for a loss of her brother, my cousin Cocoy. I know how and understand how you feel and the whole family at this moment. My prayers are with you....remain strong and always have faith. God always listens and hears every breath of us. God always have good plans for whatever predicaments, trials and problems that comes our way. I really felt sorry for what had happened but that is all God's will and there are always good reasons for that..God bless us all!

Hello. How Are You?
3.) How are you?
4.) Hello. How are you?
Four words or less could make a world of difference.
I just heard the sad news that a colleague of mine took his
own life over the weekend. My initial reaction was: why? I
guess my reason was that we both work for a company that is
fairly stable in this economy, his life was full of energy on
and off work, he was young and he had a lot of friends.
Everything was perfect!
Or so it seemed.
At a session to share our memories of him, someone brought it
up that it might be a good idea to always reach out to people
we know who might be going through rough times emotionally,
financially, spiritually or in any other way they might not be
How are you?
My expansion on this is to say this should not just be to our
friends and family alone but to anyone we come in contact with
in our daily life or even just once in a lifetime.
There have been moments in my life that I needed to share
things on my mind but did not know who to speak with. Or
moments that I just wanted to talk to a stranger who will not
give a biased opinion because they were my friends. When
people go through hard times, they become more of what they
are, the quiet withdraw more or the talkative increase their
chatter. A few simple signs could tell us something is wrong.
Hello, how are you?
When I was much younger, a girl on my street caught my eye and
I always promised myself that I would summon the courage to
say hello and become her friend. I never did. She died of a
sickness I had survived a few years earlier. My family was
aggressive with testing and we diagnosed it very quickly.
I keep wondering, what if I had said those four words, would
it have led to me sharing my survival story and would she
still be alive now? I will never know the answer to that.
However, you can! Not the answer to my question but you can
say those few words and you never know; it may just save a
My MountainWings Moment resolution is, as simple as it may
seem, 1, 3, 4 or more words may just bring back a life or
bring a smile at least.
I know I need a smile to get me going once in a while.

We have many times heard the saying that “blood is thicker than water.” These words of wisdom tell us that there is nothing that could rival natural family affinity in binding persons. It is to the family that we go back to so that we may find our life’s bearing amidst life’s ups and downs. Our family is always our haven, our refuge, our reference point.
Going through life, though, we learn that not all family members and close blood relatives are reliable allies. Many times we have also heard how siblings go against each other in scandalous court cases. Serious political differences and ambitions brought bloodbath to persons who are supposedly of the same ancestry and lineage. In contrast, we hear how non-related couples who just met in Marriage Encounter weekends refer to one another as “Tito,” “Tita,” “Brother” or “Sister.” We witness how Christians who meet in renewal groups, such as the charismatic movement, greet each other with sincere embraces of fraternal love and concern. Members of these Christian groups claim that their relationship with one another have made them even closer to each other compared to their not-so-casual relationships with their blood relations.
Indeed, our spiritual ties of faith in Jesus do not only make us come close to God in prayer. Necessarily, true faith builds up our friendships into deeper ties conditioned not by any financial or material considerations. Faith makes us more open to sincerely share our experiences, our trials and triumphs. Faith makes us more generous to give and receive, even beyond the guarantees of material resources. Faith makes it more possible for us to forgive and to ask forgiveness in the face of human frailties. Fr. Domie Guzman, SSP from Kyregma
What Is Life?
A philosopher went into a closet for ten years to contemplate the question, What is life? When he came out, he went into the street and met an old colleague, who asked him where in heaven's name he had been all those years.
"In a closet," he repied. "I wanted to know what life really is."
"And have you found an answer?"
"Yes," he replied. "I think it can best be expressed by saying that life is like a bridge."
"That's all well and good," replied the colleage, "but can you be a little more explicit? Can you tell me how life is like a bridge?"
"Oh," replied the philosopher after some thought, "maybe you're right; perhaps life is not like a bridge."

here are the wonderful words for today!!
For all things are for your sakes, so that the grace which is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.
For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:15-18 NASB
Why do birds don't have to worry about anything? I guess because they just wait of whatever foods are given to them by nature or by human beings. And why we human beings need to worry about a lot of things? Or is it only cause by our own thinking to worry a lot of things when we really don't need to worry about it? It sounds complicated but I believed so. Human beings are just not contented of what they have. I admit I am one of those which keeps me thinking sometimes why we are like that. I just hope that I can have that feeling of contentment all the time. What is the most important thing is that we are happy. ..Right guys? enjoy your evening!!

I am just sharing this to all of you for you to be aware of the side effects of these products. Before you take these tablets, please think of it a thousand times. I just don't exactly know if Andre had taken one kind of these medicines before. I hope not! because I just really can't believe that this happened to him.
I know life is not perfect. There is always ups and downs. I was there. I know how it feels that sometimes you get really confuse why such bad things happened. As for me, I just keep on asking for help from Him though prayer. I know that without him this world is nothing. Don't lose hope! Keep praying! ..that is only our best defense!
Lastly I would like to extend my deepest condolence to Andre's family. Wherever he is now, I hope and pray that he rest now in peace with the Lord.

Just the other week, my brother left an IM in my yahoo messenger telling me that the wife of my cousin passed away due to cancer sickness. He was asking for some financial help. I told my brother to borrow some money and once I will be backed from my escapades in England, I will immediately send money. Yesterday I shared some blessings again and sent the money. I also would like to extend my thanks and gratitude to all friends out there who had helped me in my journey in life, to my family who have unendlessly extend their love and care, to my husband who has been supporting me and giving his endless love, affection and understanding and most of all to God Almighty who have been very kind to me despite my unfaithfulness and sinfulness. Thanks a lot dear Lord for all the blessings and the graces you have given unto me.
Read this very nice words below for more inspiration. This is an excerpts from arcamax.com..thanks a lot for sharing!
Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.
God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you're ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done.
As one psalmist puts it,
He throws caution to the winds,
giving to the needy in reckless abandon.
His right-living, right-giving ways
never run out, never wear out.
This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God.
2 Corinthians 9:6-11 The Message
The historical Marienplatz or Mary's Square in Munich, Germany.
Three passions have governed my life:
The longings for love, the search for knowledge,
And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind].
Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness.
In the union of love I have seen
In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision
Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined.
With equal passion I have sought knowledge.
I have wished to understand the hearts of [people].
I have wished to know why the stars shine.
Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens,
But always pity brought me back to earth;
Cries of pain reverberated in my heart
Of children in famine, of victims tortured
And of old people left helpless.
I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot,
And I too suffer.
This has been my life; I found it worth living.

I was shocked today after I read the message in my friendster inbox. The message is from my sister's friend who is also my friend and like a little sister to me. The message which was sent yesterday says like this ;
Date: 09/29/2008 11:19 am
Subject: just to let u know...
hi ate rubz,
just to let u know ate grace passed away last aug. 9, 2008. nanaginip man gud ko sa iya last night telling me for not informing u. sorry po!
I just read it today and I didn't realized that tears were already fulling from my eyes after reading it. My chest is even harden until now after I read again another message coming from her sister, the reasons why she passed. I just can't imagine and ask why???? My friend's name is Grace. She had been a very good friend of mine in College days. I am also very close to her family back in Midsayap. She was my former classmate and I really treasured the friendship we had. Grace is really one in a million!! This post is dedicated to her and I hope and pray that she rest in peace with our Creator now. She is just so young, in her mid thirty's just like me. I had a great time with her back in College days.
How can you imagine that!!!...she already passed-away but came back thru a dream in her sister just to tell me that she already passed-away. I was really deeply touched that a dear dead friend of mine still remember me!! I know I have been a good friend to her and she had been always a good friend to me too. I know I can' t forget all the memories, the friendship and the beautiful moments we shared before in Midsayap.

God bless us all..Thanks for all your friendship and camaraderie!!
Please also pray for the soul of Grace and all souls who passed-away in this world.

Moles and what they say about you The Chinese Almanac, also known as the Tung Shu, is commonly known as a book of auspicious and inauspicious dates, but there is so much more to the Tung Shu than that. It is a vast mine of information relating to astrology, codes and symbols, derived by the wise sages and philosophers of ancient China . In this issue, we bring to you the secrets from the almanac regarding moles on your face and what they mean depending on which part of your face they appear.
First, check your face for any moles, and then look at the diagram above to identify the number(s) that are a closest match to the moles on your face. Usually, the moles only hold meaning for you if they are prominent and they are the only one. If your face if full of spots, acne or "little" moles, they do not count. When you've ascertained which position corresponds to the mole on your face, look up the meanings listed by numbers below.
Position 1 to 3
As a chil d, you are somewhat rebellious and a free spirit. You have an innate creativity and work best when you are given a free hand. Generally, your superiors like your avante garde approach to life. If you have a mole here, you are far better off in business and being your own boss rather than working for somebody. What is promising is that you have the luck to be your own boss.
You are an impulsive person, often acting with a flamboyance that gives you charisma and a sparkling personality, but you can be difficult when there are too many opinions. You tend to be rather argumentative, but never to the point of holding grudges. This mole tends to give you an explosive temper and should you decide to remove it, you will find yourself becoming calmer and more at peace with the world.
A mole above the eyebrow indicates that there is wealth luck in your life, but you will need to earn it and work harder than most people. All the income you make must be carefully kept as there are people who are jealous of you who might attempt to sweet talk you into parting with your wealth. Be wary of those who try to interest you in get-rich-quick schemes. If you have a mole here, it is advisable not to be too trusting of others. Follow your instincts and be cautious. And never allow other people to control your finances.
A mole here indicates intelligence, creativity and skill as an artist. Your artistic talent can bring you wealth, fame and success. It also indicates wealth luck, but this can only be fully realized if you follow your heart rather than stick to conventional means of making a living. Success will come if you are brave.
Moles under the eyebrows indicate arguments within the extended family that cause you grief and unhappiness. This will affect your work and livelihood. It is advisable to settle any differences you have with your relatives if you want peace of mind to move ahead.
This is not a very good position for a mole. Your financial position will constantly be under strain because of a tendency to overspend. You also have a penchant for gambling. The only thing is you must know when to stop. Meanwhile, someone with a mole here has a tendency to flirt with members of the opposite sex as well as with the same sex. Better be a little discerning where you exert your charms, or you might get into trouble.
This mole position suggests sexual and other problems. It is an unfortunate mole and you are well advised to get rid of it. It brings a litany of woes and a parade of problems.
A mole here just under the nose indicates excellent descendants luck. You are surrounded by family at all times and will have many children and grand children. You have the support of those close to you and will be both materially and emotionally fulfilled.
Moles here suggest a tendency to succumb to illness. It is a good idea to have this mole removed especially if it is a large, dark-coloured mole. Otherwise use lots of foundation to cover it.
A mole here foretells a successful but also a very balanced life. You are likely to be not just rich, but famous as well. But although you have every opportunity to live the high life, you will have a satisfying home and family life as well. Women with moles here are particularly lucky and tend to be beautiful and glamourous as well.
Your chil dren will be a big worry in your life. Your relationship with them is not good. There is nothing much you can do about this except to learn some tolerance.
A mole here suggests a vulnerability to food which can be a big problem in your life. You may have allergies against certain foods or you may simply be eating too much.
You are a person always on the move and constantly renovating and redesigning your house. You like to be introduced to new things and see new places. You are not happy if you remain in one place for long. You enjoy travel and adventure, and have a very observant eye.
You need to be careful when it comes to eating, and also when it comes to your sex life. These are your two biggest problems. You tend to have weight issues which can make you depressed. You enjoy romance, sometimes with more than one person, but because you are a person with some morality, you will feel guilty about it and this will cause you much stress.
You will be someone of great social prominence. You are active on the social scene and an excellent conversationalist. There is a tendency to become bigheaded about your success, which could lose you your good name. This will affect you deeply because you draw your confidence and self worth from what others think of you.
You are a person always on the move. There is a great deal of overseas travel in your life, but you should take extra care each time you cross the great waters, as your mole prefers you to stay at home.
You have money luck and many good friends, so this is a good mole to have. Your weakness is that you tend to succumb to the charms of the opposite sex. In your life, it is this that could get you into hot water, so do cool your ardour!
A mole here can be very lucky or very unlucky. If you have a mole here, you are destined either for extreme fame or infamy. You have great flair for creativity and are also highly intelligent, but your talents can be used for both good and bad. You are not a person to be trifled with for you are no pushover and do not forgive and forget easily. This mole is a mark of someone who will go down in history either as a great or as a tyrant.
This is a good mole, as it suggests plenty to eat and drink throughout your life. This mole also brings fame and recognition.
