The Only Key To Happiness

This is a forwarded email and was written by Bo Sanchez. These are just very wonderful words that I don't want to delete it without sharing to all of you. Thanks to Bo for these beautiful words.

Do you want to be happy? Continue reading below.

The Only Key To Happiness

I have an announcement to make: God wants you to be happy. In fact, I believe God has already lined up the right blessings, the right miracles, and the right people to bless your life.
Especially the right people.
Why right people?
Because God wants you to be happy by having happy relationships.
He really only has one strategy to make you happy. He has no backup plan in case it fails. It’s through happy relationships or bust.

If you don’t have happy relationships, you’ll never be happy.
No matter how rich you are.
No matter how religious you are.
No matter how much you achieve in life.
No matter how beautiful you are.
No matter how intelligent you get.
At the end of the day, your life is all about relationships.
In other words, your life is all about love.
That’s why the greatest commandments are about love.
Because He wants you to be happy.

Daily Reading

Jesus is the only one who has descended from heaven and thus is the only one who can authoritatively reveal to us the Father. In the Old Testament, people ascend to heaven but no one ever comes from heaven with knowledge of the Father. Jesus reveals to us the life of God, the true nature of our humanity (by being a man) and how we are destined for a life of glory in union with the Trinity.

John 16:23b-28
23 Jesus said to his disciples: “Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. 24 Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. 25 “I have told you this in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures but I will tell you clearly about the Father. 26 On that day you will ask in my name, and I do not tell you that I will ask the Father for you. 27 For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have come to believe that I came from God. 28 I came from the Father and have come into the world. Now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”

my reflections

t h i n k : W e cannot afford to fight with one another as this is a complete and utter waste of our energies.

Tulips and the Beautiful Quote

"The riches of this world are vain,
They vanish in a day;
But sweet the treasures of God's love-
They never pass away."

These are the beautiful tulips in our garden. They are gone now. I will see them again next year. I love these flowers! Have a lovely week to all!

My Daily Readings

Acts 28:16-20, 30-31
16 When he entered Rome, Paul was allowed to live by himself, with the soldier who was guarding him. 17 Three days later he called together the leaders of the Jews. When they had gathered he said to them, “My brothers, although I had done nothing against our people or our ancestral customs, I was handed over to the Romans as a prisoner from Jerusalem. 18 After trying my case the Romans wanted to release me, because they found nothing against me deserving the death penalty. 19 But when the Jews objected, I was obliged to appeal to Caesar, even though I had no accusation to make against my own nation. 20 This is the reason, then, I have requested to see you and to speak with you, for it is on account of the hope of Israel that I wear these chains.” 30 He remained for two full years in his lodgings. He received all who came to him, 31 and with complete assurance and without hindrance he proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ.

Daily Readings

It is nice to share some good readings for inspiration again! have a great one to all! take care folks!

Acts 16:11-15
11 We set sail from Troas, making a straight run for Samothrace, and on the next day to Neapolis, 12 and from there to Philippi, a leading city in that district of Macedonia and a Roman colony. We spent some time in that city. 13 On the sabbath we went outside the city gate along the river where we thought there would be a place of prayer. We sat and spoke with the women who had gathered there. 14 One of them, a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth, from the city of Thyatira, a worshiper of God, listened, and the Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what Paul was saying. 15 After she and her household had been baptized, she offered us an invitation, “If you consider me a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my home,” and she prevailed on us.

Daily Bible Reflections

We should always be on the lookout for those who are unable to care for themselves. These are the Anawim or Little Ones of God. If we do not care for them, who will? If we do not care for them, then we will be judged on this lack of love and care for our brothers and sisters in need (see also the Parable of the Sheep and Goats in Matthew 25).

Isaiah 58:9b-14
9 Thus says the LORD: If you remove from your midst oppression, false accusation and malicious speech; 10 if you bestow your bread on the hungry and satisfy the afflicted; then light shall rise for you in the darkness, and the gloom shall become for you like midday; 11 then the LORD will guide you always and give you plenty even on the parched land. He will renew your strength, and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring whose water never fails. 12 The ancient ruins shall be rebuilt for your sake, and the foundations from ages past you shall raise up; “Repairer of the breach,” they shall call you, “Restorer of ruined homesteads.” 13 If you hold back your foot on the sabbath from following your own pursuits on my holy day; if you call the sabbath a delight, and the LORD’s holy day honorable; if you honor it by not following your ways, seeking your own interests, or speaking with malice — 14 Then you shall delight in the LORD, and I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; I will nourish you with the heritage of Jacob, your father, for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

Psalm 86:1-2, 3-4, 5-6
R: Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth.
1 Incline your ear, O LORD; answer me, for I am afflicted and poor. 2 Keep my life, for I am devoted to you; save your servant who trusts in you. You are my God. (R) 3 Have mercy on me, O Lord, for to you I call all the day. 4 Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. (R) 5 For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in kindness to all who call upon you. 6 Hearken, O LORD, to my prayer and attend to the sound of my pleading. (R)

Jesus never gives up on anyone. He always has hope that His grace can change a person’s life and bring him to repentance and conversion. Levi, the tax collector, would have been considered a hopeless case by the Jews. He was a traitor and collaborator with an occupying power and, on top of that, was corrupt and self-serving. There was no hope for him. But Jesus chooses him to be a disciple. Let us never lose hope that anyone is beyond conversion.

Luke 5:27-32
27 Jesus saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the customs post. He said to him, “Follow me.” 28 And leaving everything behind, he got up and followed him. 29 Then Levi gave a great banquet for him in his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were at table with them. 30 The Pharisees and their scribes complained to his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” 31 Jesus said to them in reply, “Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do. 32 I have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners.”

Nice Words To Share

These are very nice words that were forwarded in my inbox. Thanks to Kyregma for this one. Keep reading below! Have a blessed day!

One of the first tactics of the devil is to try to distract us from the things that should be the foci of our life. If he can achieve this goal, he will have succeeded in neutralizing our impact in bringing the Gospel to others. This means that the Church’s mission will be blunted and bringing back humanity to its proper place of submission to the will of God will be delayed.

There is an urgency to proclaim the Gospel and to proclaim it in truth without any accretions that take away from its power to save. The Gospel stands in judgment over the world and its various cultures. The Gospel does not have to adapt its truths to the cultures in which it is being proclaimed. It must be proclaimed in truth and all that is in a particular culture that is not in conformity to that truth must go. Yes, we adapt the manner of proclaiming the Gospel to the individual culture, but never the content of the Gospel.

Sociologists, anthropologists and many others will defend the primacy of culture over and against the Gospel, but they are wrong. The truth of the Gospel is not open to debate; it is not open to alteration in the name of cultural sensitivity. If we fail to be clear about the truth of the Gospel when we proclaim it, we do a disservice to those who hear it and we become at least partially responsible for their errors. I’m sure none of us want to be responsible for the errors of others so we had better heed the call to both live and proclaim the Gospel faithfully in response to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Yes, we must always seek to understand different cultures, but we must also be willing to call to conversion various aspects of the cultures in which we work. Otherwise, we will condemn ourselves to an exercise in futility because unless the Gospel is proclaimed in its fullness, it will not be able to establish itself in the lives of those who hear it. Our task of proclaiming the Gospel to the ends of the earth will never be completed. Fr. Steve Tynan, MGL

Reflection Question:
Do I tend to let slide certain culturally accepted aspects of my life even though I know they are contrary to the Gospel? If so, it is time I did something about it.

Jesus, You proclaimed the truth whether it made You popular or not. Help me to do the same and so be faithful to You.

St. Branwallader, pray for us.

Judge Gently

I am browsing some old emails that I need right now for an insurance company. I found these nice words which I believed are worthy to share. Just a reminder, don't judge somebody, we have to look first to ourselves. His or her situation might be happening to us right now. Cheers and have a blessed day to all!

Judge Gently

Pray, don't find fault with the man who limps
Or stumbles along the road.
Unless you have worn the shoes he wears
Or struggled beneath his load.

There may be tacks in his shoes that hurt
Though hidden away from view.
Or the burden he bears placed on your back
Might cause you to stumble too.

Don't sneer at the man who's down today
Unless you have felt the blow
That caused his fall or felt the shame
That only the fallen know.

You may be strong but still the blows
That was his if dealt to you
In the selfsame way, at the selfsame time
Might cause you to stagger too.

Don't be too harsh with the man who sins
Or pelt him with word or stone
Unless you are sure - yea, doubly sure
That you have no sins of your own.

For you know, perhaps,
If the tempter's voice should whisper as soft to you
As it did to him when he went astray
It might cause you to falter too.

Love Notes and Messages From My Husband

I am giving again a short update to this humble home of mine. I got a long list to write here but I will just share it little by little. I decided to share the so-called "Love Notes and Messages" from my dear husband everyday. You know why this happened? Here is the story. My husband used to wake-me up with his kisses every time he leave for work. That sounds so sweet but every time he do it, I already wake-up and have problems of going back to sleep. Imagine in winter, he wakes me up at around 5:30 am. I guess that is too early. We agree for a deal. He said that he will no longer kiss goodbye but leave me some messages before he will go to work in the morning.

I will try to share those love notes and messages that my beloved husband wrote for me. I also want to file it in a separate folder. That's how I treasure things and memories that are valuable for me. I know these are just simple things but these always give me daily inspirations and happiness. Let's begin. This is written in German language. I will try to translate it in English. I might not translate it word by word but the main thoughts and ideas are there beside that German grammar is totally different from English. This is also a good thing for me to practice and learn more German here it is! hope to share this love notes daily..

"Hi Schatz,

Guten Morgen!

genieße den Tag und arbeite nicht zu viel.
Das Wochenende war schön mit dir.
Ich liebe Dich.

Dein Mann
Mr. K

English Translation:

Hi My Love,

Good morning! Enjoy your day and don't work so hard. The weekend I had with you is nice. I love you.

your husband,
Mr. K

A Quote for Today

Before I sign-off for tonight, I just want to share this nice quote I read from the shout out of one of my friends in friendster..I wish everyone also a lovely and blessed weekend! Have fun!

"She who never changed any of her opinions
never corrected any of her mistakes;
and she who was never wise enough
to find out any mistake in herself
will not be charitable enough to excuse
what she reckons are mistakes in others."

Great Words to Ponder!

These are such very wonderful words to share and ponder upon. I know I can't live without Him. I would like to express my gratitude for everything He has bestowed to me and my family. God is truly great!

Nothing Is Too Difficult For Him!

Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

Jeremiah 32:17 KJV

For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Philippians 4:11-14 KJV

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.

When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Matthew 19:24-26 KJV

Thanks be unto God for His wonderful gift:
Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God
is the object of our faith; the only faith
that saves is faith in Him.

Friendship Quote For Today

Happy Friday to all! My computer room is a mess now. I have a lot of papers in my computer desk. As I was trying to find some things, I saw this very small paper where I wrote a quote about friendship. I even don't remember if I already share this in any of my blogs. What I just remember was that, I wrote it one night as I was about to go to bed. here it is..I guess it is a beautiful friendship quote!

Having true friends are one of the greatest treasure we can have.
You are blessed if you have one!

I wish everyone a happy and blessed weekend!

Have A Blessed Day To All Mothers

"Let's praise the Lord for mothers who not only care for their children physically but also nurture them spiritually. Mothers like that are indispensable."

Concerning Anger...

How I wish I don't know how to get angry..I am trying but I am only a human..I wish to have more patience and this very contemplating words below which are forwarded in my mailbox.

Concerning Anger...

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Ephesians 4:31,32 NIV

The discretion of a man deferreth his anger;
and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion;
but his favour is as dew upon the grass.

Proverbs 19:11,12 KJV

Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

Cease from anger and forsake wrath;
Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing.

Psalm 37:7,8 NASB

Thanks be unto God for His wonderful gift:
Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God
is the object of our faith; the only faith
that saves is faith in Him.
