Manic Monday #162

I am ready to answer the cool questions for Manic Monday #162..

How often do you change your toothbrush?
If I don't forget it, I always change it once a month. I always remember what my dentist told me back home to change it at least once a month. My teacher in the elementary grade also said the same thing. I believed it is a good way of taking care our teeth and for reason of health and hygiene.

What is your favorite item of clothing to shop for?
If you have to ask me about this? I got a lot in my list...shoes, bags, pants, blouses, t'shirts..Now I already learn more about shopping. We all know that crisis is everywhere and we should already be economically and financially aware of this and get ready for whatever future things that will happen. I only wait till these items are on sale like having winter sale or summer sale. I already got more than enough now. I really don't need to buy stuffs now but if I got some extra budget and I really like the stuffs, I might buy them. I just went shopping today but I got very good deals. Imagine I got around 75% off..not bad..It is not for me anyway..as presence to bring with me when I go for vacation back home. We have to slowly tighten our belts now and save some bucks!

Do you use social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)? Which do you use most often?
I use a lot of social medias and blog directories. Some of them are friendster, my space, tagged, facebook, twitter, blog catalog, names database, my bloglog, twitter and some other more. Just now I don't have enough time to update some of them. I use friendster often because it is the first social media that I joined..

Manic Monday #159

Another good questions!!
Are you a saver or spender?
Actually I can be both. The bad thing with me..when I see items that are on sale and with very low and reasonable prices, I can't stop myself from not buying it especially if I like it so much... or maybe buying a certain thing that I badly needed, I can be a spender then..If I have money on my pocket, I can be a one day millionaire..hehehe...I can be a good saver too! if there are some future plans where I need money like for vacation or some investment which I just did last week, I can save money up to the last centavo..sounds not bad!! I am hoping and trying to be a better saver.

Do you prefer to walk around barefoot in your home? Socks? Shoes?
Honestly I am a sock enthusiast! I always wear socks even if I am at home especially during winter in Germany. When I am in the Philippines, I also wear socks sometimes..it depends. I love colorful socks though and I have a lot of it. I don't wear shoes at home but only slipper or a sandal.

Do you talk to yourself?
Good question! huh! I don't know how many people talk to themselves. If there are a lot out there, I am one of them..wink! Oh yeah, I talk to myself sometimes but not all the times..like asking myself like these; I'll buy it or not?, Am I going or not?, Is this good or not?, good or bad?...

I enjoyed participating to Manic Monday!! hope you too!!

"Life is like that"..Sometimes we hear these words from people.."Life is really like that." For me it simply means that Life is a matter of ups and downs..sometimes you don't know when you are up and when you are down..The most important thing is that how you react on the things that are happening in your daily living. Have a great day to all!!

Happy To Hear from A Friend

I am just expressing my happiness hearing from one of my best friend and also classmate back in my College days. Sometimes and even all the times when you remember the happy moments and bad as well, it just gives you some inspirations in life. This friend of mine have the same course as me but she studied Nursing and just graduated last March of this year. I am happy for her. She was also asking me if I already have kids...Nope big No!! For me, it is not a big deal. When a blessing comes to have children, then I will accept it gladly...God always knows what's best for all of us and whatever plan He have for me, I am ready to accept it. Besides I really don't can do anything if that is really His will!! Agree With Me??? I hoep so..I'm wishing everyone a very nice day!!!

Saturday

I Am not Happy Today

I am just a bit upset today. I believed it is normal for a person to feel like that especially if there are some things or someone that makes you upset or unhappy. I'm already starting to drive my car and the postlady stopped me to hand a box and a small parcel. As I see the name on top of the box, I was feeling very bad. The rest is secret. Sorry I can't write here very personal stuffs. But anyway, I am just hoping that things will get better soon for the good of all and maybe all people around the world. I am just waiting till the end of the month to travel again in United Kingdom for almost three weeks and might fly also to other countries and cities in Europe with a friend... I just need to enjoy life..I want some adventure and challenges now and today might be a challenge too!! I believed I can handle that!!!cool!! enjoy your weekend my friends!!

Let's talk about Moles!!

I got this from a friend's site, Choco...I was just interested so I copied it...hehehe..thanks Ms. Choco..

Moles and what they say about you The Chinese Almanac, also known as the Tung Shu, is commonly known as a book of auspicious and inauspicious dates, but there is so much more to the Tung Shu than that. It is a vast mine of information relating to astrology, codes and symbols, derived by the wise sages and philosophers of ancient China . In this issue, we bring to you the secrets from the almanac regarding moles on your face and what they mean depending on which part of your face they appear.

First, check your face for any moles, and then look at the diagram above to identify the number(s) that are a closest match to the moles on your face. Usually, the moles only hold meaning for you if they are prominent and they are the only one. If your face if full of spots, acne or "little" moles, they do not count. When you've ascertained which position corresponds to the mole on your face, look up the meanings listed by numbers below.

Position 1 to 3
As a chil d, you are somewhat rebellious and a free spirit. You have an innate creativity and work best when you are given a free hand. Generally, your superiors like your avante garde approach to life. If you have a mole here, you are far better off in business and being your own boss rather than working for somebody. What is promising is that you have the luck to be your own boss.

Position 4
You are an impulsive person, often acting with a flamboyance that gives you charisma and a sparkling personality, but you can be difficult when there are too many opinions. You tend to be rather argumentative, but never to the point of holding grudges. This mole tends to give you an explosive temper and should you decide to remove it, you will find yourself becoming calmer and more at peace with the world.

Position 5
A mole above the eyebrow indicates that there is wealth luck in your life, but you will need to earn it and work harder than most people. All the income you make must be carefully kept as there are people who are jealous of you who might attempt to sweet talk you into parting with your wealth. Be wary of those who try to interest you in get-rich-quick schemes. If you have a mole here, it is advisable not to be too trusting of others. Follow your instincts and be cautious. And never allow other people to control your finances.

Position 6
A mole here indicates intelligence, creativity and skill as an artist. Your artistic talent can bring you wealth, fame and success. It also indicates wealth luck, but this can only be fully realized if you follow your heart rather than stick to conventional means of making a living. Success will come if you are brave.

Position 7
Moles under the eyebrows indicate arguments within the extended family that cause you grief and unhappiness. This will affect your work and livelihood. It is advisable to settle any differences you have with your relatives if you want peace of mind to move ahead.

Position 8
This is not a very good position for a mole. Your financial position will constantly be under strain because of a tendency to overspend. You also have a penchant for gambling. The only thing is you must know when to stop. Meanwhile, someone with a mole here has a tendency to flirt with members of the opposite sex as well as with the same sex. Better be a little discerning where you exert your charms, or you might get into trouble.

Position 9
This mole position suggests sexual and other problems. It is an unfortunate mole and you are well advised to get rid of it. It brings a litany of woes and a parade of problems.

Position 10
A mole here just under the nose indicates excellent descendants luck. You are surrounded by family at all times and will have many children and grand children. You have the support of those close to you and will be both materially and emotionally fulfilled.

Position 11
Moles here suggest a tendency to succumb to illness. It is a good idea to have this mole removed especially if it is a large, dark-coloured mole. Otherwise use lots of foundation to cover it.

Position 12
A mole here foretells a successful but also a very balanced life. You are likely to be not just rich, but famous as well. But although you have every opportunity to live the high life, you will have a satisfying home and family life as well. Women with moles here are particularly lucky and tend to be beautiful and glamourous as well.

Position 13
Your chil dren will be a big worry in your life. Your relationship with them is not good. There is nothing much you can do about this except to learn some tolerance.

Position 14
A mole here suggests a vulnerability to food which can be a big problem in your life. You may have allergies against certain foods or you may simply be eating too much.

Position 15
You are a person always on the move and constantly renovating and redesigning your house. You like to be introduced to new things and see new places. You are not happy if you remain in one place for long. You enjoy travel and adventure, and have a very observant eye.

Position 16
You need to be careful when it comes to eating, and also when it comes to your sex life. These are your two biggest problems. You tend to have weight issues which can make you depressed. You enjoy romance, sometimes with more than one person, but because you are a person with some morality, you will feel guilty about it and this will cause you much stress.

Position 17
You will be someone of great social prominence. You are active on the social scene and an excellent conversationalist. There is a tendency to become bigheaded about your success, which could lose you your good name. This will affect you deeply because you draw your confidence and self worth from what others think of you.

Position 18
You are a person always on the move. There is a great deal of overseas travel in your life, but you should take extra care each time you cross the great waters, as your mole prefers you to stay at home.

Position 19
You have money luck and many good friends, so this is a good mole to have. Your weakness is that you tend to succumb to the charms of the opposite sex. In your life, it is this that could get you into hot water, so do cool your ardour!

Position 20
A mole here can be very lucky or very unlucky. If you have a mole here, you are destined either for extreme fame or infamy. You have great flair for creativity and are also highly intelligent, but your talents can be used for both good and bad. You are not a person to be trifled with for you are no pushover and do not forgive and forget easily. This mole is a mark of someone who will go down in history either as a great or as a tyrant.

Position 21
This is a good mole, as it suggests plenty to eat and drink throughout your life. This mole also brings fame and recognition.

Position 22
Your life is always happy and things go smoothly for you. You could well become a sports superstar if you have the passion for it. Moles at the end of eyebrows also suggest a person of authority and power, so if you are the CEO of a company, you will do very well.

Position 23
You have a high IQ, and you are both brain smart and street smart. You have a highly-developed survival instinct and will lead a meaningful and long life. You will be active until a very old age and will have friends and family around you till the very end.

Position 24
You will achieve fame and fortune in your young age and you are advised to use this period to safeguard your old age, as people with moles here tend to have a harderlife as they get older.

Position 25
You will enjoy good prosperity and recognition luck, but do be careful of excesses. Stay traditional in your attitudes and you will have a long and fruitful life.

Have a great weekend everyone.

The Six-Letter Word

A story forwarded in my email..I also want to share it with you friends..
hope you got some lessons and insights!!
HAVE A GREAT EVERYONE!! HERE IS THE STORY!!

The Six-Letter Word

I was taught a lesson that just six simple letters could make a
difference.

Those six letters made the word - SILENT.

Those letters when rearranged also spell the word - LISTEN.

I never truly understood that until the day I stood silent and
learned there was more to life than everyday living.

When you don't take the time to listen and be silent then
everything is easily taken for granted.

The things I wasn't silent for and listened for, I now miss the
most.

A simple I love you from my children.

The request of a loved one that I was too busy for at the time.

Little did I know, that if I stayed quiet and savored things,
I could have imprinted their voices in my mind and made memories
that would have lasted.

The one thing I always will be thankful for is that I learned my
lesson and heeded the call. But also that God truly is silent
and listened for my every need, but in return if I'm silent,
I can also hear from Him.

Saturday

WHEN A CHiLD PRAYS

I do not accept human praise.” – John 5:41

I was having lunch with friends one day. I was really getting hungry but couldn’t start eating because my friend who was blessing our food was saying a litany of prayers. Then I heard a little girl from the other table saying a simple yet poignant prayer. “Thank You, Lord Jesus, for the fries, the burger and the Coke, and for giving Mommy and Daddy the money to buy them.” “Amen,” I replied, to the surprise of my friend who was still praying.

God takes no account of the quantity of words we use when we talk to Him. The one thing He looks into is our motives and the state of our hearts when we pray. We should never utter one syllable of prayer, either in public or in private, until we are sure that we have come into the presence of God and are actually praying to Him.

The greatest acts of worship are acts of simple obedience to God each day of the week.
Jane Gonzales

REFLECTION:
Is it possible that the reason why more of our prayers are not answered is because we are more concerned about bringing our prayers to men more than to God?

Dear Lord, may every word I speak be a true form of worship. Amen.

Get Up Again

Oh, we all get run over once in our lives.
But one must pick oneself up again
and behave as if it were nothing.
~Henry Ibsen

Sunday

The 'Tudes' of Life

There are many "tudes" of life. The first "tude" I want to talk about is "gratitude" because the more you express gratitude for what you have the more you will have to express gratitude for. It's equally true that you never will find a happy person who is not a grateful person, so gratitude is a marvelous place to start.

The second "tude" is "attitude." Psychologists have maintained for generations that attitudes are more important than facts. An attitude with the facts, however, is going to be tremendously rewarding and productive. It's also a fact that attitude is the determining factor in the major accomplishments of life, and fortunately, attitude is something you can control.

The next "tude" is "magnitude." We need to magnify the important things and reduce the magnitude of things that appear to be insurmountable problems. "Don't make a mountain out of a molehill" is a wise observation all of us would do well to observe.

The next "tude" is latitude, which is another way of expressing the fact that we have the freedom to do virtually anything within the bounds of human decency and law in this land of ours. We have the latitude to be all that we can be and accomplish some incredible objectives. Regardless of our ancestors and the circumstances of our youths, we have the latitude to move from where we are to where we want to be.

The next "tude" is "multitude." We face a multitude of challenges and opportunities every day. It's a fact that you can hold a dime close enough to your eye to blot out the sun. If we concentrate on the multitude of challenges we face, we will blot out the opportunities of life. It is equally true that if we concentrate on the opportunities of life, we will blot out the challenges to the degree that we can overcome those challenges.

With a good set of "tudes," you can accomplish some incredible objectives in life, so concentrate on the "tudes"....

Wednesday

a very simple but touching story...i'm sharing it to you now!!! have a nice wednesday!!!

The Secret
One day, one friend asked another,

"How is it that you are always so happy?
You have so much energy,
and you never seem to get down."

With her eyes smiling, she said,
"I know the Secret!"
"What secret is that?"
To which she replied,
"I'll tell you all about it,
but you have to promise to
share the Secret with others."

"The Secret is this:

I have learned there is little I can do
in my life that will make me truly happy.
I must depend on God to make
me happy and to meet my needs.
When a need arises in my life,
I have to trust God to supply
according to HIS riches.
I have learned most of the time
I don't need half of what I think I do.
He has never let me down.
Since I learned that 'Secret', I am happy."

The questioner's first thought was,

"That's too simple!"
But upon reflecting over her own life
she recalled how she thought a bigger house
would make her happy, but it didn't!
She thought a better paying job
would make her happy, but it hadn't.
When did she realize her greatest happiness?
Sitting on the floor with her grandchildren,
playing games, eating pizza or reading a story,
a simple gift from God.

Now you know it too!

We can't depend on people to make us happy.
Only GOD in His infinite wisdom can do that.
Trust HIM!
And now I pass the Secret on to you!
So once you get it, what will you do?

YOU have to tell someone the Secret, too!

That GOD in His wisdom will take care of YOU!
But it's not really a secret...
We just have to believe it and do it...
Really trust God!

Beautiful Quotation

I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and
die to find out there isn't, Than live my life as if
there isn't, and die to find out there is.

Saturday

The Saint Who Grant Wishes!!

I just want to share that, two years ago, I
went to see St. Therese's remains when it was put
on display in the Carmelite Church.

I went there because I was curious what was
this euphoria about the world's youngest saint
whose job is to grant people's wishes?

So I went with friend Lyn and I must admit the
life of the little child, Therese, intrigued me.

It turned out she was a child who wanted to serve
her God more than anything else in the world.

Thus, in every chore that she did: even watering
the plants, she performed it like it was for her master.

Since all her siblings were Carmelite nuns,
she became a nun herself, the youngest (12?) to
be allowed inside the convent. So we're talking of a
pure "uncorrupted soul". And then she died.

But she left a journal (suggested reading!)
which contained all her thoughts about God, love
and life. Since then she became the saint who
grants all wishes.

Believe it or not, my wish was granted! Not
because I said a novena but knowing about
her life and reading her works inspired me and made me
more patient and persevering.

According to religious beliefs, St. Theresa
was known as: "The Little Flower". Whenever you pray to
her for a miracle, she will send you a rose in one
form or another when the miracle has been granted.

You may smell roses, receive a rose by visual means, etc.

REMEMBER to make a wish before you read the
poem. That's all you have to do. There is nothing attached.

This is a powerful novena. Do not break this, please.

Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive.
There is no cost but a lot of reward. Let's
continue praying for one another.

Make a wish before you read this poem....(Did
you make a wish?) If you don't make a wish, it won't
come true.

May today there be peace within.

May you trust your highest power that you are
exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities
that are born of faith.

May you use those gifts that you have
received, and pass on the love that has been given to
you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God.

Let this presence settle into our bones, and
allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, and to
bask in the sun.

It is there for each and every one of you.

Thought this was a beautiful prayer and wanted
to share it with you.

Stinking Lawyer

Please read story below. Do you think you are smarter than this lawyer?

One afternoon, a wealthy lawyer was riding in the back of his limousine when he saw two pathetic men eating grass by the road side. He ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate, and asked, "Why are you eating grass?"

"We don't have no money for food," the first man replied.

"Oh, well, you can come with me to my house," insisted the lawyer.
"But, sir, I got a wife and three kids here." "Bring them along!" replied the lawyer.

"But how 'bout m' friend?" The lawyer turned to the other man and
said, " You come with us, too." "But, sir, I got a wife and six kids!" "Bring them as well!" answered the lawyer as he headed for his limo.

They all climbed into the car, and once underway, one of the poor fellows says: "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you." The lawyer replied, "Glad to do it. You'll love my place. The grass is almost a foot tall."

"Keep only cheerful friends, the grouches pull you down."

Amazing Bible Facts

got this chain email in April 2004 from a friend, I don't want to delete it since I am cleaning a bit of my thousand mails in my inbox...just want to share it with you..anyone can copy this and sent to your emails..thanks...wish you a great day!!!

Q: What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
A: Psalms 117

Q: What is the longest chapter in the Bible?
A: Psalms 119

Q: Which chapter is in the center of the Bible?
A: Psalms 118

Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118

Add these numbers up and you get 1188.

Q: What is the center verse in the Bible?
A: Psalms 118:8

Q: Does this verse say something significant about God's perfect will for our lives?

The next time someone says they would like to find
God's perfect will for their lives and that they want to
be in the center of His will, just send them to the
center of His Word!

Psalms 118:8
"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."
Now isn't that odd how this worked out (or was God in the center of it)?

Before sending this I said a prayer for you. Got a minute? 60 seconds for God?
All you do is say a small prayer for the person who sent you this.........

"Father God bless my friend in whatever it is that you know
he/she may be needing this day!

And may his/her life be full of your peace,
prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a
closer relationship with You.
Amen"

Then send it on to 10 other people. Within hours 10 people have prayed
for you, and you caused a multitude of people to pray to God for other people.

Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life...

When things get tough, always remember...
Faith doesn't get you around trouble, it gets you through it !!

God Bless You!

Mother

The young mother set her foot on the path of life.
"Is this the long way?" she asked.

And the guide said, "Yes, and the way is hard.
And you will be old before you reach the end of it.
But the end will be better than the beginning."

But the young mother was happy, and she would not believe that
anything could be better than these years.

So she played with her children, she fed them and bathed them,
and taught them how to tie their shoes and ride a bike and
reminded them to feed the dog and do their homework and brush
their teeth.

The sun shone on them and the young Mother cried,
"Nothing will ever be lovelier than this."

Then the nights came, and the storms,
and the path was sometimes dark,
and the children shook with fear and cold,
and the mother drew them close and covered them with her arms,
and the children said, "Mother, we are not afraid,
for you are near, and no harm can come."

And the morning came, and there was a hill ahead, and the
children climbed and grew weary, and the mother was weary.
But at all times she said to the children, “A little patience
and we are there."

So the children climbed,
and as they climbed they learned to weather the storms.
And with this, she gave them strength to face the world.
Year after year, she showed them compassion, understanding, hope,
but most of all... unconditional love.

And when they reached the top they said,
"Mother, we would not have done it without you."

The days went on, and the weeks and the months and the years,
and the mother grew old and she became little and bent.
But her children were tall and strong, and walked with courage.
And the mother, when she lay down at night,
looked up at the stars and said, "This is a better day
than the last, for my children have learned so much and are now
passing these traits on to their children."

And when the way became rough for her, they lifted her,
and gave her their strength, just as she had given them hers.
One day they came to a hill, and beyond the hill,
they could see a shining road and golden gates flung wide.

And mother said: "I have reached the end of my journey.
And now I know the end is better than the beginning,
for my children can walk with dignity and pride,
with their heads held high,
and so can their children after them."

And the children said, "You will always walk with us, Mother,
even when you have gone through the gates."

And they stood and watched her as she went on alone, and the
gates closed after her. And they said: "We cannot see her, but
she is with us still. A Mother like ours is more than a memory.
She is a living presence."

Your Mother is always with you.

She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street,
She's the smell of certain foods you remember,
flowers you pick
and perfume that she wore,
She's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well,
She's your breath in the air on a cold winter's day.
She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep,
the colors of a rainbow,
She is Christmas morning.

Your Mother lives inside your laughter.
And she's crystallized in every tear drop.
A mother shows every emotion...
happiness, sadness, fear, jealousy, love, hate, anger,
helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrow...
and all the while, hoping and praying
you will only know the good feelings in life.

She's the place you came from, your first home,
and she's the map you follow with every step you take.
She's your first love,
your first friend,
even your first enemy,
but nothing on earth
can separate you.

Not time, not space... not even death!

May we never take our mothers for granted.
